Meet Dr. Smith
Dr. Elizabeth Smith's treatment philosophy includes a strong focus on each patient’s individual treatment needs and goals. She is passionate about utilizing orthodontic treatment to create a stable and functional bite, to enhance facial beauty and harmony, and to improve overall self-esteem. She has received training in treatment of TMJ disorders, sleep apnea, early intervention, non-extraction therapy, and airway.
Dr. Smith has been with our office for two years and is now the owner of our practice. She is so excited to be able to dedicate her full attention to our patients and continue the legacy of Dr. Anderson and Dr. Ditcharo. The focus of our practice has always been for patients that require more time- whether that be patients with sensory needs, longer appointments, esthetically conscious patients that require more doctor time, or patients that request special hours or discretion.
Dr. Smith is a Kentucky native and loves being near family. While majoring in biology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, she worked at the Louisville Zoo where she discovered a passion for interacting with children and families. Dr. Smith met her husband Zach while in dental school at the University of Louisville and the couples matched & they both attended orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University. There, she was trained in aligner therapy and orthodontic braces, as well as micro-esthetics, smile design, airway, craniofacial deformities, and cleft palate treatment.
Dr. Smith is proud to be the mom of two little kids, Slade and Ivey. While she loves what she does, nothing compares to spending time with her family. On the weekends, her family enjoys going to the zoo, Cheekwood, and seeing other beloved Nashville sights!
